116Goodbye NU107, Home of New and Old Rock

At midnight tonight, there will be no more NU107. I heard that 107.5 will be infected by the stupid “masa”-format virus. It’s sad that you have to reformat but change is inevitable. I will miss this radio station who introduced me to the world of rock n’ roll. Back in the days when the rest of manila is bombarded with cheesy songs, I was in another world while listening to your station.
I thought it would make me feel agitated when listening to Metallica, Pantera, AC/DC, Lynard Skynard, Queensryche, Bon Jovi and also local bands like Eraserheads, Put3ska, Rizal Underground, Orient Pearl, Sugar Hiccups, Teeth, Backdraft, Rivermaya (w/ Bamboo), Agaw Agimat,Yano and so much more…. but music from these bands helped me focus hehehe.
You guys would keep me company when I stay up all night long for my homework, crunching numbers then when I finished school and started to earn my living, you were there too.
I was there in one of your alterNativity held in Robinsons Galleria where I just had to donate canned goods and instant mami…which I won 2 NU Rockaward CDs and a pair of Yamaha drumsticks.
I guess I will just listen on the internet for rock and metal music.
