Lent starts today. Time to avoid forms of gluttony commonly known as greed or addiction to some things; avoid doing things against the Ten Commandments in the coming forty days not counting Sundays before Easter. Time to avoid red meat and just remember to have fish on Fridays. Later today, I will attend a Novus Ordo mass near my office . The Catholic priest will then say

“Remember, O man, that you are dust, and unto dust you shall return.” (Latin: Memento homo, quia pulvis es, et in pulverem reverteris.)

I am still planning to go to a Latin mass this coming sunday. I still want to go to Our Lady of Victories Church (OLVC) in New Manila, Quezon City. They serve the old Tridentine Latin Mass. I badly need go to an SSPX priest ( Society of Saint Pius X ) to make confessions maybe this Friday, Saturday or early Sunday morning. It’s been ages since I did it.
