090Philippine Gov’t to Revive BNPP
posted by sherliez on February 23rd, 2009

This has been discussed since the 80’s! The revival of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP). Pangasinan Representative Mark Cojuangco sought to reactivate this place by filing House Bill No. 4631. Hey Mr. Cojuangco, do you really want to decrease the lifespan of the Filipinos? As of February 22, 2009, the Philippine government opened the sale of the privatization of the $2.3-billion BNPP. President GMA said “As long as it works, there are many [financing] schemes.”
Hey Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, do you intend to make the nuke plant work first and then finance it? At the cost of how many lives?
Philippines! This is not THE ONLY source of energy.
