They said that Filipinos are family oriented and I agree. These new nurses have their love for their family when they took their board exams same with those on different fields (calling ECE’s hehe). Most wants to provide for their family and most will help their siblings in their education.
Quoting the Nursing Licensure Exam November 2008 topnotcher Jovie Ann Alawas Decoyna, “I see Nursing as an opportunity to help my family. I owe everything to my family and friends who supported me along the way.” She is an example of the normal Filipino who’s goal is to improve the welfare of her family.
Not only nurses, most of my countryfolks dream of a better future. No matter the reason, it all boils down to love. Corruption in the government cannot be immediately resolved and these new young people will take it in their hands to live a better life.
